My educational career has been grounded in the pursuit of a deep understanding of children and learning. I graduated with the following degrees or certifications:

• Teaching Certification in Learning Disabilities from East Carolina University, 2003

• M.Ed. in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, 2008

• Ed. S. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, 2020

• DC Reading Clinic Practicum from Trinity University, 2021

Teaching Experience

Special Educator and Instructional Coach

I have over 20 years of teaching experience as a special education teacher. The last two years, I have served as an Instructional Coach. My skills and experience show up as transferable skills that truly help me develop a customized tutoring plan for each student.

I have served as a LEA Representative Designee, ESY Site Coordinator, and Team lead on my Special Education Team. Through my education and training, I have gained a wealth of knowledge regarding IDEA, and the rights you have as a parent. My role is to bridge the gap between parents and the schools.
